PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:98SE
Problem Application Name & Version:Goldstar
Problem Hardware Make & Model:Goldstar
Error Messages:Lips Sealed



Ok, I can't get my cd-rom to read burned cd's... but not all cd-r's, just some. and it won't read rw's.
i mean it reads them but i can't navigate them in win or dos the dir and file structure is there. but when i click it just says not ready or file/folder dosen't exist. What can i do?
oh yeah i alredy installed UDF Reader. And the cd-r's i'm trying were burned with DirectCD. PLZ help.

this problem might not being your CDRW it might be the fact that it's a cheap CDR or CDRW burn at high speed which currpted the data sometimes.

That's what my teacher suggested. But, that's not it. do you know how to install a specific driver? Now i have a generic driver named "cdrom.sys". Would DirectCD Burning Utlities perhaps cause this error.
