hi there
is there a way to install XP in ms-dos mode
cos i cant log into window
so i need to install XP from dos
but it say " cant install in dos mode "
is there a way ?

Hi KH,
No,you can't install it from dos.You need to go into the bios & change the boot selection.Change boot 1 from floppy to cd rom,then save & exit.Then put the winxp cd in the cd rom & restart the computer.It'll then boot from the cd & you install from there.Just follow the wizard.

It may be that your CD doesn't support booting - what make/model is it?
(and did you see the lights flashing during the boot process?

Hi KH,
Create the set up floppies.It's a set of 6,then you finish up with the xp cd.

Hello & Help ,
I have xp I lost the sound recorder and I cant's chat(?).I can hear but I can not speak. I have a HP 750 pavilion. I restored the system .Same problem !
