How do i download something from a public computer to a disk what forum would i go to to post this question?

Some public computers have their CD or floppy drives disabled so that you cannot carry any data away with you.

Check the policy of the provider who owns the computer from which you wish to download the file.  If no rules are in place, you should be able to just drag and drop the file to the floppy disk icon, if it is smaller than 1.4 MB. If it is larger, you may be out of luck unless the computer has a CD burner. Most public machines, of course, do not.
