PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: XP profesionall service pack 1
Problem with: controle pannel and my computer

I have just got Win xp and have some majer concerns at the moment. When im in the controle pannel and click, lets say on ad/remove programs or Display, the box comes up, and closes sreight away as if someone has told it to close. I want to make it very clear that it does not minimise, and clicking alt tab does not lockate the box ither. Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on, for as you can guess it is frustrating, and slightly woring.

Is your system clean?
Run an on-line virus scan http://www.trendmicro.com/en/home/us/enterprise.htm
Also run one for Trojans.....  http://www.trojanscan.com/
If you have a spyware remover application like SpyBot S&D or Ad-Aware, run them.
You also may want to install and scan your system with HijackThis and post the results. http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html
