i get a blue screen with the error:06:00280000000b with the option of pressing any key to continue but the system freezes and the only way of restarting the pc is to turn off the power supply.

this is the only one i see that can be removed by hjt

if you dont have these programs get them and after installing them update them and then scan your pc....Ad-aware...spybot search and destroy....spywareblaster these will clean out all the little nasties that you dont want on your pc

HiJackThis is not the app to use to fix this problem as you log doesn't really show anything extraordinary. Crashes in the 0028 region of memory are either device drivers crashing, or software that installs as a device driver crashing. Most firewall and antivirus software manufacturers load part of their code in this region, and of course all device drivers(video, sound, network, etc) load here as well.

Did you make any changes or additions to your system just before this started?
