Hi Vegkaar,
Can you enter your program files folder and make a folder for hijackthis.exe and copy and paste hijackthis into that new folder---name that new folder
HJT or similiar---you can delete the original copy of hijackthis

It will look something like this
C:\PROGRAM FILES\HJT\HIJACKTHIS.EXE
This is where your backups will be stored

Do another scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries
and then FIX CHECKED after ALL other windows are closed (including this one)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [systray] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\A.EXE

Remember to fix check when all other windows are closed

I'm assuming this is your preferred homepage-- if it isn't have Hijackthis fix it also

RESTART your computer in
Safe Mode

Find and delete this file, It may have hidden attributes, link will
explain how to show hidden files and folder
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\A.EXE <--- the A.exe file

I assume your running Windows Me, could you also Navigate to your
temp. folder and delete the contents....

Restart back in normal mode and Install ADAWARE 6 (free version)

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Install----CHECK FOR UPDATES----Do a scan and remove everything it finds and then RESTART your computer one more time
Post back with a Fresh hijackthis log-----Include the WHOLE contents
of the log
Hijackthis version and OS, thanx.....
What version of Windows Media Player are you using?
