PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:windows xp professional
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:compaq
Error Messages:<windows root>/system32\ntoskrnl.exe

I had this computer built for me recently, the day i got it, i set it up and plugged in my modem (cable, broadband) was just about to install anti virus programs ( did not get the chance)and i was hit by the master blaster virus and the sasser virus, computer kept restarting ,until it no longer restarted! i recieved several messages on the start up screen, 1st one was you may be able to fix corrupted files by inserting windows xp start up disk, 2nd message was operating system could not be found, 3rd message was<windows root>\system32/ntoskrnl.exe file corrupted ( cant be sure it was corrupted ,i cant remember as i only wrote down the file name!) i was the told to press f1 to continue, which i did and then a message to remove any meadia from disc drives then press any key to continue, this messages just reapets itself. I am gutted about this as i had this computer for 30 minutes, i am considering taking to a shop to get it fixed, but i was wondering if i could possibly fix this myself, i have no knowlede of computer programming or how to reformat a pc , can anyone help me? i would be reallt grateful!
