Hi, I am running XP SP1 and i recently bought a new samsung 160HD, i installed drivers for my 2 CD-RW burners(1 internal, 1 external) and my DVD Player(internal). They worked for a couple of days, then My computer doesn't read the drives, they dont show up in "My Computer". In "Device manager" it shows those 3 drives that arent working in a yellow circle with a "!" in it. When i try to install new Drivers it says i am up-to-date. And i can't install them from the drivers disk that camme with My computer because i need to use the Drive. Please Help me

Troy.

spiffy:

What type of burners and hard drive were these? I am assuming the internal Hard Drive and burner were IDE models? If so, they shouldn't require any drivers, so I'm really not sure what you installed.

You may be better off removing what you installed, if they were not the appropriate drivers in the first place.

What type of interface does the external hard drive use?

Hi spiffymuffins1,

This same thread you started in 9 other forums were deleted! Shocked

Please read the forum rules if you're not familiar with them!

One of the "Quick Posting Rules" at the top of every posting form states
"DO NOT post the same problem in different Forums, once is enough."
...Please read them!

Thank you!
