Operating System Version: XP Pro
Problem Application Name & Version: Games
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

This isn't really a problem-more of a general performance issue. I have a 1.8 gig Athlon XP and a ATI Radeon 9600 Pro. I get great frame rates on my pc games like No One Lives Forever and NOLF 2 and others. But, when I pan the view up or down or left to right and vice versa, the objects/polygons on the screen are choppy when they move (i.e. they don't pan smoothly). They never did this before. I have all the XP Pro updates and was wondering if maybe one or more of these updates were interfering with my performance. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I have heard of performance issues with DirectX 9. If your games require DirectX 8 and you recently installed DirectX 9, I would look into this.

Also verify if your anti-virus software is causing these performance problems by temporally disabling it before running the game.
