PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

When i insert a CD into the CDROMs nothing happens.  Ive tried Regedit and changed Autorun value to 1 and restarted, nothing happend. also nothing shows up in My computer under the CD drives, like an icon is suppose to show up based on what cd is in the drive.  The things i did to maybe cause this was switched out the CPU, Lithuim Battery, Ram, and switched the IDEs and jumpers for the Drives, i had to do all this so my friend could test this stuff... oh and i also flashed my bios, but i think it wasnt working before i did that.

Hi Clam,
Try reseating the ide cable going to the mobo & cd rom.If that doesn't help, try to borrow another cd rom & switch it out.Sometimes a bad cd rom will act like this.
Take care.
