I'm sorry but i have no idea on the above questions!!  just wondering if someone could helpme please.  my lovely girlfriend downloaded ICQ yesterday and it starts itself up everytime on startup, how can i remove it from the startup process please?

Hi,

First check the apps settings:
Open ICQ and go through the Options/Preferences and verify if there is an option to start at startup, if you find it disable it.

Then check the Startup group:
If not, verify your Startup group (Start > Programs > Startup) and delete it from that group.

Then run MSCONFIG:
If it is not there, run MSCONFIG and go to the Startup tab, find the ICQ entry and remove the check next to it. (Start > Run > MSCONFIG)
