Could you please download a spyware checker
Both of these work very well together

Ad-aware 6----Save to disk----Install---CHECK FOR UPDATES-----
Do a Scan----Fix everything it finds
http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10045910.html?part=69274&subj=dlpage&tag=button

Spybot-----Save to disk----Install---SEARCH FOR UPDATES----Check for problems-----FIX everything in RED---Green is optional
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download

Could you also do a Online Virus Check at HouseCall's----let it Fix everything and post back results
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Finally, download Hijackthis-----Save to a Permanent folder on your hard drive--
Open hijackthis----Do a SCAN---Scan will change to SAVE LOG----Copy and paste the WHOLE contents of the log here---
Don't try and fix anything, it is all important
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe

EDIT--- I see that you ran a SCAN at Housecalls---let it fix everything. Please post that hijackthis log if you are still having problems or if you are still having errors on startup..

Can you first uninstall New.net as recommended by this link
http://www.newdotnet.com/
RESTART your computer

Next would you download RBKILLER
It should remove the Rapid blaster parasite
http://www.wilderssecurity.net/downloads/rbkiller.exe

RESTART again and post back a Fresh Hijackthis log

How did the scan at Housecall's go, anything found?

If you didn't manually add these to your hosts file you can have hijackthis fix them also

O1 - Hosts: 66.218.71.198 yahoo.com
O1 - Hosts: 216.109.118.65 www.yahoo.com
O1 - Hosts: 207.68.172.239 www.hotmail.com
O1 - Hosts: 64.4.33.7 hotmail.com
O1 - Hosts: 207.68.172.234 www.msn.com
O1 - Hosts: 207.68.172.246 msn.com
O1 - Hosts: 149.174.130.216 aol.com

You missed this one, have hijackthis fix it

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {F7F808F0-6F7D-442C-93E3-4A4827C2E4C8} - (no file)

To save on system startup you can have hijackthis fix this one too
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
It may have a tendency of returning, you can follow Tasklists site
on how to disable, you don't need Ultimate Troubleshooter
http://www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist_q.htm

MSN MESSENGER can be disabled from starting on startup by right clicking the Icon by the system clock and enter preferences(options)

Here is some info on Messenger Plus 2
Recommendation is either to uninstall or reinstall without Sponsor
Read here:
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=170042&postcount=4

Don't delete backups made by Hijackthis for about a week or so when your happy with the way everything is running.
Because of the malware and spyware present on your computer, this may
be a good time to Disable System restore and enable it to create a Fresh Restore point and prevent reinfection
http://vil.nai.com/vil/SystemHelpDocs/DisableSysRestore.htm

A free program that I use to help prevent spyware from being installed
is SpywareBlater
Download----Install---Check for updates-----enable all protection
Check for updates every couple of weeks
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

How is everything going?
