Hi confused, just to ensure you have the latest version of CWShredder
Can you please open it and then Check for updates
latest version is 1.57.0
mypoiskovik is a Cool Web infection so CWShredder should help
After you are sure you have the latest version close down CWShredder

Next could you please set Windows to show hidden files
Open My Computer.
    * Select the View menu and click Folder Options.
    * Select the View Tab.
    * In the Hidden files section select Show all files.
    * Click OK.

Do another scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries
and then FIX CHECKED when ALL other windows are closed(including this one)

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://mypoiskovik.com/sp.htm
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://mypoiskovik.com/index.htm
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://mypoiskovik.com/sp.htm
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://mypoiskovik.com/index.htm
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {1C78AB3F-A857-482e-80C0-3A1E5238A565} - (no file)

O8 - Extra context menu item: &iSearch The Web - res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\TOOLBAR.DLL/SEARCH.HTML

Find this file and delete it
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\TOOLBAR.DLL <----this file

Next: ensure that ALL window are closed and and open CWShredder and let it FIX all problems
RESTART your computer

Access your Internet Options via Control Panel
Under the Program tab "Reset Web Settings"
Under the General tab---- Delete files(including offline files)
and Reset home page

Would you next download one or both of these Spyware Checkers
I use both, what one misses the other generally catches
Ad-Aware 6
Download----Install-----CHECK FOR UPDATES----next set
these options to scan
Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Scanning Engine:
check: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."

- Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Cleaning Engine:
Check: "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."

Press "Scan Now"

- Check option "Use Custom scanning options"
- Check option "Activate In-Depth Scan"
- Press "Select drives\folders to scan"
- Select the active partition which is usually C:

Now press "Next" to let Ad-aware scan your drives...
It will find a number of "bad" files and registry keys.
Right-click in that pane and choose "select all"

Now press "Next" again.
It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK.

Hey, Benditup, I had one additional point to add, and I hope that you approve.  This step has become my method of choice for dealing with poiskovik:

There are 3 directories that you need to check for NEW files that may be associated with ANY hijacker:
C:\WINDOWS\
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\

To find new files, view by details and sort by date created. This will draw a big fat bulls-eye on whatever BHO, trojan, or hijacker is giving you trouble. If you nab it right when you know you've been struck, you'll have no problem identifying the files.

You should be very weary of any .exe or .dll files that appear on the date and time in question.

In my experience with mypoiskovik, the clowns who program it are constantly changing the executable files that initiate it.

I can confirm that these have been used in the past, specifically relating to mypoiskovik:
winlogIn.exe, dllhelp.exe, IEengine.exe

Unfortunately in your case, "confused," I think there is a different file involved.  An additional step you could take is this:

Go through some of the "suspicious" processes and check them to known entries at this website:

Alphabetical:
http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/allprocesses/

Point and click reference to each by categorical function:
http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/

I checked a number of suspicions myself, but concluded none of them were at fault:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\KERNEL32.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\DDHELP.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\PSTORES.EXE

I hope this may be of help if benditup's suggestions fail to solve the problem.

Cripes, I found a new one that Matthew referred to.

It's C:\dlltemp.exe

Get rid of it.

I realized that there is a MUCH better way to search for these .exe files than the one I was proposing previously:

(XP)
1.  Start (taskbar) --> Search
2.  Search for All files and folders
3.  Filename:  *.exe *.dll
4.  When was it modified -->
Date of suspected infection through Today
5.  Hit search AND go watch TV for a 1/2 hour.
6.  This will give you a list of every insidious .exe file and .dll file that may be trojans infecting your computer.
7.  Look at the files and see what looks suspicious.  This list could be just as important as the Hijackthis log.
8.  Compare the Hijackthis log to the search results.
9.  Delete accordingly.

What you think, benditup?
