Hi Cadaverlab, you may have the new variant of CW trojan, the Experts
are still working on an Automatic fix for this.
Because of it difficult removal, if you do have the infected signs....
Let's try this.......

 Download this zip.
http://tools.zerosrealm.com/pv.zip
Please unzip it to the desktop. It will not work if you run it from inside the zip.

After unzipped go to the desktop. Open the pv folder. Double click on the runme.bat

A dos window will open. Please select option 1 for explorer dll's by typing 1 and then pressing enter.

Notepad will open with a log in it. Please copy and paste the log into your next post.

Let's see if we can deal with this

Also, select option 2 in Pv can (you have at least 1 IE window open)
copy and paste the contents of that log here also

Did you use Killbox to remove it or Safe Mode Command Prompt?

I've only had to deal with this menace a few times....
Twice was the easy one I was going to check you out for.
The one that you were infected with (hopefully it's gone)
I've dealt with on another forum one other time.....

Good to hear you got her squashed......
Details would be nice, I'm sure this won't be the last time we see
this variant on this site. My email is public if you click on my user
name,
Thanx, cadaverlab..........
or I will post it for you, I'm not shy Smiley
It's one I use for these things anyways........

Maybe you can have some input on future problems with this...
I've seen a couple other work arounds to solve this problem, I think
the experts are still trying to figure which is best.....

P.S. registrar lite can also help in removing stubborn BHO's also once
after an infection of other sorts is dealt with

I think I misread your post:) Oh well

Hello Cadaverlab

Reading through all the posting that you made regarding your dilema about this trojan  "ABOUT:BLANK",  and being a newbie myself,  I was wondering if you can post me the exact steps that you took to remove this parasite from your computer.  All that I have read uptill now assume that the operator is a professional and hence lots of computer jargon.

you can either post this here or e-mail me your response,  whichever.

Thanks in advance
