Machine uses XP -AMD AthlonXP 3200+,1023 MB DDR-SDRAM,nVidia GeForse FX 5700.
Runs fine for an hour or so then slows very suddenly. Task Manager shows Services.exe using up to 70-80 % CPU. If online my broadband connection uses most of rest when services.exe active then everything just halts.
Have run SystemSuite antivirus,Adaware6,Spybot,Hijackthis,TrojanRemover,SwatIt and numerous others all with up to date files. Nothing found. Checked memory with SystemSuite and Memtest - no problems. Removed unwanted files but only used about 30 Gigs on 160 drive.Check Task Manager while running machine. No unecessary processes as far as I can see. I have probably forgotten stuff but have checked everything. No v iruses found, no trojans but something is eating up memory. Any help would be appreciated. Hijack log below:

I don't see anything wrong with your log..... Hmmmm
And all virus scans came up clean.....

The only other thing I can suggest is try other possibilities...
Have you installed any new drivers lately----look in device manager
for any problems....
I do see one service that is unneeded running, but I can't see it causing that much of a problem......
C:\WINDOWS\System32\nvsvc32.exe

Start-----Run---- type in "services.msc" without the quotes

Look for Nvidia Driver Helper Service
Double click on it and Stop it's service
From the drop down menu---set to disable...

You may also want to check in Services
that Alerter and Messenger are stopped and set to disabled

I see these two running processes
C:\MAINTE~1\system\SYSTEM~1\MXTask.exe
C:\MAINTE~1\system\SYSTEM~1\mxtask.exe
Are they related to:
Ontracks Fix-it utilities

Maybe I'm just getting tired, someone else may have some input
Just giving you some ideas.

Thanks.Nothing in device manager. Have stopped nvsvc.exe and alerter and messenger are stopped.
Mxtask and MXtask are part of SystemSuite (Fix-It)
I'll let the machine run this morning and see what happens.

Many thanks.
