My hard disk drive is not working at all but all the fans are coming on, also my hard drive l.e.d is acting as the power light and the power light is not doing anythig.
i have put xp on the disk from 98 and it worked fine then i shut the computer down a few days later and it never worked since HELP!!!

Ok so your getting power to the mobo and the cpu fan is running but your saying you cannot boot to the H.D.D.
Please explain "i have put xp on the disk from 98 and it worked fine then i shut the computer down a few days later and it never worked since ". Are you saying you used an upgrade to XP? Im not understanding what you mean. More info would be appriciated.

the hard drive is not doing any thing i dont think its got anything to do with xp coz i tried it with another hdd and that did the same
if i switch on with out the ide cable you can here the hard drive spining.
