I've experience one (1) beep sound while surfin,then window will freeze, tried to used task manager with no avail, also cant use mouse, had to reboot, checked ram, reseated ram and check the cpu  temp. as follows:Cpu Current temp@ 20 C, System Current Temp@23.also did a test with  Memtest86,
Pentium 111  1297MHZ
L1 cache 32K  12715mb/s
L2 cache 256k  6357mb/s
Memory 248    139mb/s


after 4 passes
test #4, moving inv,32 bid pattern cache,
testing 80k-248m  248m

The Award beep codes say:
Explanation: There is a failure of some sort related to the system memory.

Diagnosis: The first bank of memory probably has a failure of some sort; this is usually just a physical problem such as an incorrectly inserted module, but may also mean a bad memory chip in a module. It is possible that there is a failure related to the motherboard or a system device as well.

This doesn't mean thats what the prob is though.

You could run HIJACKTHIS,save the Logfile to your desktop and open in notepad,copy the Logfile and paste it here.

Our qualified HJT Logreaders will look it over.
