Operating System Version:Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version:Ultra ATA/133 PCI IDE Card
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:Expansion ROM not initialized

I have added a Ultra ATA/133 PCI IDE Card to my HP Pavilion 8540. I have installed the card and drivers but when I boot my machine I get a message stating 'Expansion ROM not initialized' Press F1 for setup (takes you to BIOS) or F2 to continue. If I continue the system loads but whatever IDE devices that are attached to the card cannot be seen. In the BIOS is now sees a 3rd PCI slot since I installed the card. I have 3 HDD on the 2 IDE slots on the motherboard, setup as master/slave and I want to add my CD-RW and DVD onto this new card.

Hope someone can help?!?!?!?!?!

Heaven doesn't want me.....Hell's afraid Ill take over!
