ww1961....
There are several possible reasons and you can read them here:
http://support.microsoft.com/search/default.aspx?InCC_hdn=true&Catalog=LCID%3D1033%26CDID%3DEN-US-KB%26PRODLISTSRC%3DON&withinResults=&QuerySource=gASr_Query&Product=w98&Queryc=EXPLORER+caused+an+invalid+page+fault+in+module+%3Cunknown%3E+at+0000%3A07c7fc6e&Query=EXPLORER+caused+an+invalid+page+fault+in+module+%3Cunknown%3E+at+0000%3A07c7fc6e&KeywordType=ALL&maxResults=25&Titles=false&numDays=&InCC=on

If you haven't already:
Download,check for updates and run:
Ad-Aware
http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10045910.html?part=69274&subj=dlpage&tag=button

Download,check for updates and run:
Spybot Search and Destroy
http://www.tucows.com/adnload/310138_117317.html

Before trying any of the fixes I would run these 2 apps and clean any bugs out you might have.

i have just tried to open the recycle bin. Same thing happened. It must be a file associated with explorer.exe or the registry is corrupted.

Have you tried running ScanReg and see if it fixes any corrupt Reg Entries?

Download and run HiJackThis

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe

Create a folder on your desktop and install it to there.
Shut everything down and run HJT,save the Logfile to the folder and open with notepad...copy and paste the logfile here and one of the Forum HJT log readers will check it out.
