Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model: Self built-Soyo K7VTA-Pro
Error Messages:

Am doing a WXP-Home Install
Have reproduced same error twice
WXP-Home formats HD and shows 100% on progress bar, but freezes there.
Any advice

Is it a new Harddrive?
If it's a used HDD then you must Partition the drive first,then format.
Are you trying format NTSF file sys?
Try partition with the CD,then format which ever file sys you choose...Fat32 or NTSF.
If that doesn't work,then you can boot with a Win98 bootdisk and run FDisk,then format...then remove the bootdisk and make sure in the BIOS that the CD-Rom is set as first BootDevice,then insert the WinXP CD and reboot.

Should install no prob!!
