PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: Windows XP home edition
Problem Application Name & Version: Microsoft Explorer
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

I have a cable connection for my internet and my desktop pc can connect with no problem, but my HP ze4220 Pavilion laptop is unable to access the Internet via my Linksys wireless adapter or direct connect to the router.  I have Windows XP home edition and have re-installed it and have also completely re-formatted my hard drive with the original Quick restore disks.  When the wireless card is connected, my Internet connection says

When connected directly to the Router...
Goto START>RUN
Type: winipcfg...hit ENTER
In the scroll-down box choose your Network card,if the IP,Subnet mask and Default Gateway show up then click ok.
If only zero's show up....click Release All,then Renew All,then click OK

You should be able to connect to the Internet now.
