PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: Win Xp Pro SP1
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

I uninstalled some software then after some time, ran system restore to a time and state when the softwares were still installed. After some time again, I decided to reinstall a couple of those softwares (PC Software Suite for my Alcatel phone) and got some error messages saying the software is 'already installed, please uninstall it before reinstalling' . I personally think that the registry still thinks the software is still installed while is actually isnt. I could be wrong. I need your help in resolving this problem. Thanks in advance

Is it still in add/remove programs?
Can you goto Windows Explorer and find any Program Folders for that software?
There might be empty folders.
Here's a little program that will uninstall software for you,it's Free.
http://superwin.swmirror.com/adrmpro2.exe
It displays the entries in the Add/Remove Programs list of Windows Registry, checks if each is valid, and uninstalls the selected program or removes the entry from the list.

If ADD/REMOVE PRO doesn't detect any files pertaining to PC Software Suite, then just goto START>FIND>FILES AND FOLDERS and type in PC Software Suite...
Delete any folders or files found then try and re-install.
