I have an old packard bell which had windows 95 i tried to upgrade to win 98 and it could not find the modem so i uninstalled win 98 to get onto the internet I the updated driver (v90.exe)for the sound 4 winmodem. I tried to reinstall win 98 but now all I get is a blue screen with a program error message on it that reads: Program error Your program is making an invalid dynamic link call to a .DLL File. I cannot get it to do anything else. What should I do?

You need to use a Win98 Bootdisk,you can download one from here:

Re-start your pc with the BootDisk in floppy drive,choice NO CD-ROM SUPPORT
Type fdisk at prompt and repartition HDD,then after reboot,reformat the drive.
After rebooting again,this time WITH CD-ROM SUPPORT put the Win98 install CD in rom and at the prompt type E:/setup (E: being the correct drive letter of your cd-rom drive.
