Operating System Version:Xp Prof Version 2002
Problem Application Name & Version: Adobe Photoshop 7
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages: scratch and page files on same disc...

While launching Photoshop it gets partway through its initializing then quits and I'm back to my desktop. I have reinstalled xp and photoshop and this doesn't help. I have increased the virtual memory to the max since I was getting the Following error upon re-installation of the Photoshop software:
You currently have Adobe Photoshop's primary Scratch and Windows' primary paging file on the same volume, which can result in reduced performance.  It is recommended that you set Adobe Photoshop's primary Scratch volume to be on a dirrerent volume, preferably on a defferent physical drive.
I have been using photoshop with no problem for 6 months. What would have changed overnight?
Prior to these problems I got one of the typical MS error windows and everthing I was working on shut down.
Now what can I do?
