PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version:Internet Explorer 6.028
Problem Hardware Make & Model:IBM Thinkpad A30
Error Messages:

I need some help.  My default home page keeps changing even after I edit the registry file.  I have run Spybot and run virus scan as well.  I continue to get Trojan Horse virus, but its quarantined.  Seems to be attacking my hosts file.  I downloaded Hijackthis and ran a scan which is listed below.  Please help me determine which files I need to delete.  The R0 & R1 entries are the ones in the registry I keep changing, but they change back once I exit.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Set windows to show hidden files and folders
 * Click Start.
    * Open My Computer.
    * Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
    * Select the View Tab.
    * Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
    * Click Yes to confirm.
    * Click OK.

Navigate to these files---I suspect them both too be bad
Just verifying
Right click on them----left click properties---version
What are they related too?
Please submit them to Kapersky for a free virus scan
http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus
Simply navigate to them by clicking the "browse" button
Right click---select--- then "Submit"
C:\WINDOWS\IPWD.exe <--this file
C:\Documents and Settings\dshuba.BOC\Application Data\boow.exe <-file

I am going to assume they are bad if unknown or kapersky finds bad

Let's start some cleaning up
You have Peper Trojan
Download the Peper Fix and save to desktop
Go offline--run the uninstaller and then reboot when prompted
Run this fix twice to ensure of it's removal

RESTART your Computer in SAFE MODE

Find and delete these files and folders if they exist
C:\WINDOWS\IPWD.exe <--- this file if found bad or unknown
C:\Documents and Settings\dshuba.BOC\Application Data\boow.exe<--file
C:\WINDOWS\system32\system32.dll <---this file

c:\program files\clientman <---this folder

Navigate to these Temp directories and delete the whole contents
including subfolders----But not the temp directories themselves
# C:\Windows\Temp\
# C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Profile>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\
# C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Profile>\Local Settings\Temp\
# C:\Documents and Settings\<Any other users Profile>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\
# C:\Documents and Settings\<Any other users Profile>\Local Settings\Temp\

While still in safe mode
Do another Scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries and then FIX CHECKED when ALL other windows are closed

Optionally, I would remove these too, they are considered resource hogs and NOT needed on startup

Musicmatch jukebox is a tossup, I don't allow it on startup, I fix
those 2 entries, again up to you.....

RESTART your computer in Normal Mode
Don't open a browser yet, instead access Internet Options via Control
Panel
Under the Programs tab "Reset Web Settings"
Under the General tab--- Reset home page

Spybot is a good spyware checker, but I also recommend that you install the free version of Ad-Aware
CHECK FOR UPDATES
Additional settings for a custom scan
click the gear wheel at the top and check these options:

General> activate these: "Automatically save log-file" and "Automatically quarantine objects prior to removal"

Scanning > activate these: "Scan within archives", "Scan active processes", "Scan registry", "Deep scan registry", "Scan my IE Favorites for banned sites" and "Scan my Hosts file"

Tweaks > Scanning Engine> activate this: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."

Tweaks > Cleaning Engine: activate these: "Automatically try to unregister objects prior to deletion" and "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."

Click "Proceed" to save your settings, then click "Start", make sure "Activate in-depth scan" is ticked green then scan your system. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next". The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".

RESTART your computer and post back with a fresh hijackthis log

You may also want to run an online virus scan at Housecall's to be safe

Ran everything with the exception of the Housecall.  Seems to have fixed everything to this point, although I can't seem to telnet from my DOS window to any of my servers or routers.  Any ideas??

Attached is my latest hijack this log:
