PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:WIN98        Problem Application Name & Version:.NET FRAMEWORK UPDATE FROM MICROSOFT
Problem Hardware Make & Model:HP PAVILION

Error Messages:LOAD ERROR: PRESS A KEY TO CONTINUE



NOW RIDDLE ME THIS. I Scan PC for Critical Updates

I select all critical updates.
I install .Net Framework and I'm prompted to restart
I restart and Nothing but a black screen that says Load error: press any key. Every time I press a key it say the same thing. what2do??
Help me if I can be helped. Thanks for reading

Have you tried using your HP Restore disc?

I used the restore disk after I repartitioned the hard drive and sadly still no luck. Which really concerned me. If that can't get the job done, what will.

So you've Re-Partitioned the HDD?
Did you Re-Formatt after setting the Partition Active?
You must reboot the comp after each step above.

Do you have a Win98 BootDisk?
Try rebooting with Bootdisk and see if you can get to prompt.
