PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: XP Home Edition
Problem Application Name & Version: most current Mozilla & IE
Problem Hardware Make & Model: Acer TravelMate 800 (laptop)
Error Messages: many various popups, machine freezeing up and or slowing down, home page be hijacked to different pages

I keep get many various popups and ads in IE usually they start poping up at a specfic time during the night, in my proccess list i notice wintools. I also have RUNDLL32.exe in my proccesses and this seems to be responisble for the machine freezeing and slowing down, when this proccess is killed, right after boot up, the machine seem to run at normal speed. I have to use safe mode with networking in order to do anything on this machine, I can login in normal mode with a regular user with out it running extreamly slow or freezeing.
I'm describing the best I can but  I don't know much about spyware, if more descriptions are needed just let me know.

Would you please download the newer Version of Hijackthis---Important---Create a permanent
folder
EG---- Open MyDocuments----Right click an empty spot and select NEW---Folder----Name the new folder HJT ---this is where you will want to save Hijackthis too, also, backups will be stored there.
Download from here
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe
or here
http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe

Do a SCAN----Scan will change to SAVE LOG----copy and paste the WHOLE contents of the log
here... Don't try and fix anything yet----It is all important.

Download  LSP fix
Unzip it

Run Lspfix. Check all instances of lspak.dll (and nothing else) , and move them to the "Remove" pane.
You will have to click the "I know what I'm doing" button.
Click Finish

RESTART your computer
Go over to Trend Micros for an Online Virus Scan---set to autoclean
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
and/or---you might want to do both
Panda's active scan
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm

When your done post back with a fresh hijackthis log

I use lspfix and ran both virus scanners, the one scanner at the second you posted found a virus that repaired.

RESTART your Computer in SAFE MODE

Go to START---RUN---type in "services.msc" without quotes
Find this service on the right---Wintools for IE Service
double click it---Stop the Service---
Set to disabled in the drop down menu

Go to Add/Remove Programs and Remove WINTOOLS

Find this folder and delete it
C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinTools <--this folder

Do another Scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries
and then FIX CHECKED when ALL other windows are closed

Just the 04 entries with Wintools in it for now

Restart back in Normal Mode
Download and install the free version of Ad-Aware
CHECK FOR UPDATES
We'll run this later

Go to this site and install the VX2 plugin and follow the directions
to remove
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/plugins/vx2cleaner.shtml

Let me know what the vx2 cleaner found

Ad-aware with the vx2 plugin, found many vx2 files and removed all of them.
Here is the new log.

Let's do a couple things

Set Windows to Show Hidden Files and Folders
Navigate to this file, I can find no info on it
Right click on it----properties---version
Do you know what it is related too?
C:\Program Files\SED\SED.exe <---the sed.exe file or foler
It should be related to a Mouse, I want to be sure, it's showing up
a little too often

Could you submit it to Kapersky's for a free virus scan
http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus
Simply use the Browse button to navigate to the file
Right click on it-----Select---Submit
Do another Scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries
and then FIX CHECKED when ALL other windows are closed
