PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Win 98
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:Samsung CD/RW...SW-208F and Samsung CD/ROM...SC-148
Error Messages:Hi Guys, You have always been so much help. I hope that you can help me again. My pc is an Emachine 667ir. It came with ME, but ME just seems so unstable that I went back to Win 98. Works so much better, but I need the drivers for the cd roms. I have the recovery disks that came with pc, but when I go to "drivers" it only lists video, audio and modem. Please help me locate the above listed drivers. Any help appreciated.
thanks, Bobby Jones

Hi,

Try here: http://www.cdrom-drivers.com/companies/911.htm

Please Note: Windows 98 should recognize the cdrw(s) without the need of third party drivers.

Thanks for the help. Let me try to explain a little better...My pc does recognize the D drive as a cdrom. It also recognizes the E drive (which is my cd burner), but it won't burn anything. When I run Adaptec CD Creator it says that it doesn't find a recorder. What do I need to do to be able to burn cd's again. Thanks is advance

Hi,

The software must support your cdrw drive.

Easy CD creator was purchase by Roxio a while ago, perhaps your version is too old.

Maybe check out http://www.roxio.com for an update to your version.

I just realized that I have Easy CD Creator 3.01. That's bound to be too old. I can't get to my newer version that is on my recovery disk that came with the pc. My pc was so screwed up running ME that came on it that I don't want to go back. What is my best bet...to just buy a new CD burning program? Shouldn't my pc recognize my burner with a newer burning program? Do you have a suggestion on a burning program?
