You tried to put A2 squared in the recycle bin?Huh?
You can't just delete it, you have to uninstall it....

Have you tried creating a new account in Outlook Express
Try signing up for a hotmail account.......
Configure outlook express to work with it....
If it works, I would think that your settings for earthlink are improper

Free hotmail account---you can just remove it after if you don't want to use it, don't sign up for anything
use hotmail not msn, you may have to change the Incomingserver address with MSN

I wouldn't think you would have to uninstall A2, I use it on my other
machine with no problems......Just wanted you too disable it...

You haven't installed any new firewalls, try disabling your firewall
if you have...

We uninstalled a2 and still can't send out mail.

We set up a hotmail acct in Outlook and got pretty much the same error message (d instead of an e at the end).

We installed what you suggested and AVG.  Would any of those cause us problems?

Thanks again for your help!

Hi Ben, I checked that website and unless I am wrong it referred to a dial up server. My panel said wiktel was not enabled but the high speed internet connection was.
