PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: W2000 Prof.
Problem Application Name & Version: Visual Basic 3
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages: Could not open file named disk1/vbapi.hl_

I have been using VB for many years and I am now using VB6. Because I only have a VB6 upgrade CD each time I upgrade my computer I need to reinstall VB3 in order to then upgrade to VB6. VB3 is on diskettes and my latest laptop does not have a floppy drive. I have copied the diskettes onto another computer's hard drive as Disk 1, Disk 2 and so on but when I run SetUp.exe from this hard disk I get the above error.
Help ...

Can you save the files to the laptop and run the Setup from the HDD.
