Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:




hay guys,

how do i access the gnome theme changer?
also how do u use the terminal to instal things?
and how can i check what port my modem is on?
and I how do I know that my modem is a winmodem or not?

I personally don't use redhat 9. I am not sure if it uses gnome 2 or not. If it does... then just click on the foot then go: Applications/Desktop Preference/Theme.

If you mean to install rpm packages through the terminal then use this:

rpm -i <package_name.rpm>

Usually your modem resided on /dev/ttyS1 (wich means com2). Sometimes it can be /dev/modem.

If you give me the name and model of the modem... then I can tell you if it is a winmodem or not.

hay everybody say they don't use redhat for personal can u reccomend a distro for personal? also u know where i can get any kick ass backgrounds?

If you want to sure, you could always dual boot!;)

No, what I mean, is that Fedora is the new Free as in beer distro by Redhat.
