Hi
Operating System Version:WINDOWS XP
Problem Application Name & Version:samsung CD ROM
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:The driver detected a controller error on \Device\CdRom0.


The cd rom wont read any discs at all any ideas.

You have an error on your controller?? try uninstalling the driver/s and reinstall... the controllers...have you tried the cd rom on another computer?

Another thing to try.. boot with floppy, choose with cd rom support.. see if the rom will read a disk in dos

What OS?

Can you post you config.sys file that has something like:

Also the exact details of the drive and any FCC ID number

[CD]
device=himem.sys /testmemff
device=atapimgr.sys
device=sr_aspi.sys /D:mscd001
