Whilst connecting to the internet I closed two programmes-the screen when blue and a notice appeared stating the 'CPC tray made an error press any button to go back'. Did this and the screen pixelated. Restarted the computer and the screensaver came up but no icons. Restarted again and the screen when blank and the on/off switch started flashing red and green. Help!
Operating System Version:Windows 98
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:Intel Celeron
Error Messages:CPC tray made an error

Well, first off, this should either be in the Windows help forum or in any form of virus forum.

I keep wondering what a CPC tray is. Especially since I can't find any data on it.
So, can you still not boot into Windows on that machine? If you cannot, have you tried Windows Safe Mode? (Press F8 after the POST, from the menu choose Safe Mode)

Did you have any anti virus products on that PC?
