PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:  Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version: Norton Firewall - Symantec Share
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:



Having serious problems with sending emails with attachments.  Symantec is taking a very long time scanning any outgoing emails with attachments (more than a few minutes).  This includes emails with only one attachment that is less than 1 MB.  I have Norton Anti-Virus and Firewall programs - Symantec Shared.  Could this be a Symantec server problem.  The Symantec progress window always pops up showing the scan progress.  This has only started happening recently (last couple of weeks).  A few weeks ago, I don't recall any lengthy delays while Symantec scanned my emails containing attachments.  Has something changed?  Is there anything I can do?
