Looks like you may have shut down some running tasks

Download these uninstallers for the Peper trojan
newuinist.exe
and Peper Fix

Save them to desktop
Double click on Newuninst.exe and press Uninstall. Let it run and when When it's completed press Close. You must be online to have this work and do not block any attempts for the program to connect to internet through
any firewall
RESTART your computer

Next: Double click to run Peper Fix
Click Find and Fix--follow the prompts to remove files
which will require you to RESTART your computer one more time

Next: Try and download CWShredder
from this direct link
Save it to desktop, don't run it yet

RESTART your computer into SAFE MODE

Access your ADD/REMOVE program via control panel and uninstall
WINTOOLS
TV MEDIA
Lycos Side Search
AM Server
POP
 if they exist

Find and delete these file or folders and delete them if they exist

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IEHost.exe <--this file
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\DP-HIM.EXE <--this file
REAANS32.EXE <--file, you will have to search for it
C:\EZSTUB.EXE <--this file

C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinTools <--this folder
C:\TV MEDIA <--this folder
c:\Program Files\AutoUpdate <--this folder

Navigate to your Temp folders and Delete the Whole Contents
C:\Windows\Temp <--delete the contents
C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files <-- delete contents

Stay in Safe mode and open up ONLY hijackthis
Do another Scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries
and then FIX CHECKED when ALL other windows are closed

The first HJT log posted was run in "safe"mode.
REAANS32.exe was located in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\.
When I went to reset web settings to default and reset the home page (which was still listed as about:blank), there were still a bunch of files in "temporary internet files", even though I had already (I thought) deleted them; I deleted them again.
CWShredder didn't find anything.
AdAware found 103 objects, which were removed.
Here's a new HJT log, this time in "Normal" mode:

Again, no hidden installer, that's a good sign

Do another Scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries
and then FIX CHECKED when ALL other windows are closed

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Uninstall_WinTools] C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\WTUNINST.EXE /remove

RESTART back in Safe mode

Navigate to your C:\Windows\Temp folder---Open it up
Click on EDIT>>>>Select All
Delete the Entire contents of the Temp folder

RESTART your computer in normal mode

You should install these 2 apps., they add extra security while
silently protecting you without running in the background

SpywareBlaster by JavaCool---will block bad ActiveX and malevolent cookies
Install---Check for Updates---Enable all protection
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

IE-Spyad---IE-SPYAD puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
Here is a tutorial and download link
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/index.php?showtutorial=53

With both---Check for updates every couple of weeks

Can you post back with one more hijackthis log, just for a final checking

:)Did as requested. Downloaded and installed both programs per your instructions. The IE-spyad link was informative, but I had to search around a bit to find a spot to download it. Hope that'll help avoid these problems in the future.
Having a bit of a Hardware/Networking problem, but I'll go post it in Hardware....thanks again for all your help.
