Right click the MyComputer icon on your Desktop
Choose Proprties
Click the Device Mananger Tab

Scroll down to Modem and read what it says...
Post back we'll find some drivers for you.

To any repies--Ifound the modem--went to 3com--still could not find the proper drivers for it.  HOWEVER-I believe it is more than the modem--I believe I might need the intel chipset drivers for the MOBO--I can't phisically see the MOBO man. name any where--I do have the chipset though--one chip is the intel(pci?) fw82371/ab ( I need the EB as well) and the other has a backwards R joining into a J--that one says pc77307 (IBU/VUL).  That is for a pentiumII MOBO.  I also need the drivers for an emachine 466is with a Florida tg MOBO--that one contains the intel(s) fw82371EB ane fw82443LX.  I had downloded an EXE. file from driverguide--it was said to support the intelchips(FW82443/82371AB/EB)--put it in the emachine--it took it but @ that point I went to the device manager and I had the ! for 3 devices--PCI Ethernet Controller, PCI Communication device and a PCI Multimedia device.  I haven't tried to get out to the net as of yet because I think one or all of those are what's causing my headache--(probably there is no sound and I probably won't be able to get out with the modem--I guess the system bus more or less is not doing what it should because of a lack of drivers)  Thanks!!

At the back of you modem you chould have a white stiker with one or too bar code and 2 numbers. one of this number is the serial number and the other one is the model number. to find the driver, just go the manufacture web site and type them in the search engine of the site. If you find no-thing go to the Support selection you chould find some thing about numbers you found at the back of your modem. The other way is to check the FCC number if you find it you can try with google, and usualy you will find some thing.
