Windows XP/2000:

Go to start menu, run, type "cmd" press enter then type "ipconfig". Write the "IP ADDRESS: " down, should be a number with digits laid out like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx in that pattern. "ipconfig /all" will show you all information for all adapters.

Windows 98 SE/ME:

Go to start menu, run, type "winipcfg". Pick your network adapter in the drop down list and find your IP in the "IP ADDRESS" field.
