Error Messages:

Operating system Windows XP; No error messages
I have A Toshiba Satellite 1800-712 it has started to shut down on its own right in the middle of doing different things. Any clues.

You can try using Housecall you may have a virus.

Thanks for the reply.
Today the laptop has not shut down at all, maybe it was just overheating as now I have it lifted off the desk a few inches on two bits of wood (really hi tech) and a fan keeping the two of us cool.
Fingers crossed it will be ok now.
