PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:XP Pro
Problem Application Name & Version:BIOS
Problem Hardware Make & Model:SOYO 333
Error Messages:

At startup my BIOS takes 1 min at least to detect my drives and sometimes skips the memory scan. The red led of the HardDrive activity is permanently on. I did check cable connections and everything looks fine. Could be my mobo done? or my CPU? or gremlins?

Because I had a problem with boot HDD, I tried to install windows xp on another HDD and in the middle of the installation the software ask me for a file that should be in the WinXP CD, I click browse to select the CDRom and it wasn't there, just the HDD. I skip the files resulting on a bad OS installed.

Do you know what could the problem be?
I'll thank any help.
