PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:win XP sp1
Problem Application Name & Version:home network
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:"workgroup" is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you access permissions.

I used to have 3 pc's on my homework, and it worked great, until the host pc got a virus, then was forced to format 'C'. When I started it up again, I couldn't get it back on the network. I ran the XP network wizard, over and over again, but to no good.
I only use one of the other pc's at the moment cos I broke other upgading it last week (I'll be asking questions about that one soon).
When I try to access the workgroup it just gives me the error message, as above.
The other pc (upstairs) sees itself (with all it's shared files ), it also sees my pc (downstairs), but cannot access it. It gets the same error message, as above.
I've tried to ping their IP's, and they both see each other.
Am I missing something realy obvious? Please help.
Nick

Are you signed in as administrator? Are they both in the same workgroup?

Hi
Yes I've checked, and I'm admininstrator. Yes we are in the same workgroup.
I went thru a load of hastle when first set up my home network about year ago. The guys on this forum helped me sort it, bit by bit. But I can't remember how we did it. It had something to do with getting the "Network Bridge enabled", but I can't remember how to do it.
Thanks Nick
