Hi Kirby6
Close your browser window, run hjt in safe mode and fix these items.Any files/folders that I have highlighted  will also need to be removed from your hard drive as well as from the log.   Make sure to have your system set to show hidden files and folders..  www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html while still in safe mode, run "CWshreader".Post a new log when finished....

It wouldn't let me delete dllhlp.exe   It said cannot delete dllhlp:access is denied. I still had the Win/Min program to close out of when I shut down from safe mode, also.

Here's my new post...

Pancake and jvic...you guys are awesome. I did as you said and have been mypoiskovic free for 24 hrs now. jvic, I didn't run hijackthis and delete the last file as you said only because my homepage has stayed the same and I don't have to close out of win min each time I shut down. Again, thank you both. I will be posting about an IE problem for another of my machines shortly. Hopefully, I will get my problem solved on that machine as quickly as on this one.

Great job!

I've gone through the process you describe multiple times in the last few days. After completing the process in safemode and running cwshredder in addition to everything else, I always come up with what looks like a clean machine. I've also tried elimnating temp files and changing my homepage from the control panel before opening my browser. As soon as I reboot, mypoiskovic reappears. I also had spybot or one of the other programs warning me when anything tried to change my homepage, and found that mypoiskovic tries to change it back every few minutes whether I use the browser actively or not. Obviously, there's still some hidden command somewhere. Thoughts? (I really apprecate the help).
