Operating System Version:  Windows XP Home
Problem Application Name & Version: Nokia PC Suite 5.64
Problem Hardware Make & Model:  Dell PC
Error Messages:

I recently had a relatively small system crash.  I was uninstalling one of my son's games.  It ended up trying to remove the whole Program Files folder.  Anyway, I cancelled and did a system restore.  The computer is about 98% operational but I have one consistant problem.

My wife installed a program (before the crash) called Nokia PC Suite 5.64 so she could interact the computer and the phone.  Anyway, that program was lost in the crash.  However, it constantly tries to reinstall, especially when I open internet explorer (but it will try to install when I open other programs as well).  The PC Suite folder has since been removed from the Program Files and Common Files folder yet the problem persists.  Uninstalling just freezes.

Nokia no longer distributes v. 5.64, so re-installing is out of the question!  I already contacted them, and they cannot provide me with that version.  The newer 6.0+ won't install until the 5.64 is completely gone.

Help!  I'm at a loss!
