PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Windows 2000
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

When I opened explorer 2 Pop-ups opened but I could open the windows for those and then my Explorer closes by itself.  I've also been getting Pop-up ads as well.  I've run the most recent versions of Adaware, Spybot, and CWShredder but I'm still getting Pop-ups.  If Someone could take a look at my HJT lof and let me know what I can do to stop all this I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thank in advance.

Hi atsd,
Could you try this Uninstaller
Save it to desktop, run it, RESTART your computer

Set Windows to Show Hidden Files and Folders

After restart can you
Do another Scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries
and then FIX CHECKED when ALL other windows are closed

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O2 - BHO: (no name) - SOFTWARE - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [VVSN] C:\Program Files\VVSN\VVSN.exe

Optionally, remove the next one too, it is NOT needed on startup
Programs work fine without it
O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE

RESTART your computer preferrably into safe mode
Find and delete these files or folders if they exist

C:\WINNT\system32\AANTX.dll <--this file
C:\WINNT\Byewmlyy.dll <--file

C:\Program Files\VVSN <--this folder

===Do a DiskCleanup>>START----Run---type in cleanmgr
Ensure that Temp and Temporary Internet Files are checked

RESTART back in Normal mode
Do another scan with hijackthis and post a Fresh log

Hi benditup,
Thanks for helping so fast.  Well I did everything you said but the three thing you said to look for in safe mode weren't there.
C:\WINNT\system32\AANTX.dll <--this file
C:\WINNT\Byewmlyy.dll <--file

C:\Program Files\VVSN <--this folder

Let me know if there's anything else I should do.
Thanks for your time and help here's my new HJT Log:

I missed this one last time
You can have hijackthis fix it too
O3 - Toolbar: Search - {BFF303BA-0001-8A9E-3CDE-0585FD15C0EA} - C:\WINNT\Byewmlyy.dll (file missing)

You should install these 2 apps., they add extra security while
silently protecting you, without running in the background

SpywareBlaster by JavaCool---will block bad ActiveX and malevolent cookies
Install---Check for Updates---Enable all protection
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

IE-Spyad---IE-SPYAD puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
Here is a tutorial and download link
TUTORIAL==http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/index.php?showtutorial=53
Download link==https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/resource.htm#IESPYAD
Scroll down and click on IE-SPYAD.EXE Free!

With both, Check for updates every couple of weeks
Stay safe Smiley
