Operating System Version:Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version: N/A
Problem Hardware Make & Model:N/A
Error Messages:N/A

I am currently researching buying my first set of SATA Hard drives, specifically, a set of two Western Digital Raptor 74GB 10,000RPM SATA Hard Drive, Model WD740GD. I will be adding this to my current system: 3.0 P4 on an Intel D865PERL motherboard. This motherboard has the following specifications for its peripheral interfaces:

Peripheral Interfaces :
 Eight USB 2.0 ports
 One serial port
 One parallel port
Two Serial ATA IDE interfaces with RAID 0 and RAID 1 support
Two Parallel ATA IDE interfaces with UDMA 33, ATA-66/100 support
 One diskette drive interface
 PS/2* keyboard and mouse ports

My question is, what is striping? how is it done? are there any programs that aid you in the process? are there any websites that can help me? Any and all information about striping the two HDs would be great! Thanks!
