PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: WinXP Pro
Problem Application Name & Version: Editor(Notepad)
Problem Hardware Make & Model: -
Error Messages: none

Hello,

my problem is that the normal Windows Editor(Notepad) is gone!
If I want to open a textdata I have to use the Wordpad or Word.
That's not a huge problem but I want to know if I can reinstall it or simply fix something ... this is such a easy fast program, don't want to get rid of it...

If I want to adjust with which program I open textdatas normally, there's just such a ".exe"-icon and if I check it nothing comes up after a double-klick -> that means somehow the Editor must have been deleted or moved somewhere ... I didnt do nothing Undecided

Ok, thanks for help!

...perhaps it would be already a help if I knew where the .exe is normally...

You can install Notepad if you dont' have it already.
Go into the Control Panel and double click the Add/Remove Programsicon.
Click Add New Programs on the left.
Click CD or Floppy.
Insert you Windows XP CD-Rom and follow the prompt.

After you have added Notepad, in the Control Panel double click on the Internet Options icon.
Click the Programs tab.
Choose Notepad as your HTML Editor by clicking the blue arrowhead.
