PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: Windows ME
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

My sound doesn't work.  The speakers are fine, but whenever I insert a CD the computer doesn't recognize it, and tells me to insert a CD.  Also, when I try to play files from WMP, or anything else, I cannot hear a thing.  I don't know how to tell if it's my soundcard, or a computer problem.  Can someone give me a hand?

I have a similar problem. Except I can hear cds. But I couldn't right away, try unchecking the digital output on the wmp tools options (i think that's where it is). What soundcard do you have?
