My Norton antivirus has picked up what they describe as an "at risk" file called WildApp.dll. Nortons own removal system failed to delete this file and instructions are given to manually delete the file. If I try to do this in "normal" mode, I can find the file using the path given by norton, but cannot delete it as the delete option is blanked out and simply pressing delete does nothing. If I try in "safe" mode, I cannot trace the file path and it doesn't appear to be there.
Any advice on what my next course of action should be would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ian

Looks like a time for HijackThis!

Go to http://www.antispyware.nextdesigns.net/showsoftware.php?id=2 and download HijackThis

Click My Computer, then C:\
In the menu bar, File->New->Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis". Now you have C:\HJT\ folder. Put your HijackThis.exe there, and double click to run it.

Click "Scan"

Click "Save Log"

Copy the contents into this thread.

IMPORTANT!!!
Do not have HJT anything without an expert telling you to do so.

Please do not PM me asking for HJT help.  Everyone benefits when it is done on the open forum.
