PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: XP pro sp2
Problem Application Name & Version: the whole computer
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

Ok I'v been here before with hijack this and stuff. I have no viruses or spyware or any other malicious security risks. The only problems I have are Internet explorer shutting down, Flash ocx errors, MAME & other emulators not responding & PC games have errors(spiderman and Call of duty) My computer restarts by itself sometimes(i can fix the restart bit with a heatsink, it is to hot but the new processor is only 1800mhz whereas the old one was 1700mhz..)

Are there any freeware programs that will spot all these errors and eradicate them, as I dnt want to reformat again. At a last resort I might have to, would that solve the problems, i'd rather not. That's why i'm asking is there another method?

I mean these games and things worked on my 98se machine with the same motherboard, video card. So I have no idea why im getting all these problems. Could it be Direct X9.0c, as an earlier version of direct x caused my last computer some problems and removing it fixed it. But it waas reformatted to remove it.

Please help.
