I have CM 03-04 version 4.1.1 i want to update to version 4.1.4 . I have patch 4.1.4 but when i run its , the error report:
 1:Unable to read current intallation  folder.
   Error 0x00000002-The system cannot find the file specified.
 
 2:Unable to read current install version information.
   Error 0x00000002-The system cannot find the file specified.
My cm03-03 on c:\program Files\Eidos\Cm03-04\
Help me please !!

Have you tried re-downloading the patch? Tried downloading it from another location?

Unfortunately, his problem has nothing to do with the patch being bad.

Did you copy the game from another harddrive or reinstall the OS and not reinstall the game?? It sounds like either of those events have taken place.
To get around it: Reinstall the game, apply patch 4.1.4 (the full data version) and then download and apply patch 4.1.5
That should leave you without a problem.

The reason it can't patch your current game: It can't find the registry entries. It's a bugger, but nothing that can be done about it.
