PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: XP Pro SP2
Problem Application Name & Version: all
Problem Hardware Make & Model: ASUS mobo, AMD cpu
Error Messages:

Mouse pointer moves on its own, no input from me.  Only moves straight line, up, down, left, right; no curves or angles.  Using adaware, Spybot, Norton AV, Zonealarm.
Thanks for any help and ideas

Do you have Office installed? - with Alternative User Input enabled? (CTFMON)

If so, try turning your microphone off, and see if that cures it - if it does, either disable CTFMON, uninstall the Alternative User Input, or leave the microphone switched off.
